Human Resources Coordinator, HRIS & Payroll Support
Overview
Own the employee lifecycle at Self Help Movement, a mission-driven behavioral health nonprofit serving 120+ team members. You will keep HRIS records pristine, run payroll audits, and guide new hires through onboarding. Working beside the HR Director, you will handle benefits questions, compliance training, and audits. This full-time on-site role offers hands-on exposure to every HR function, from recruiting to benefits, with ADP Workforce Now as your daily tool. You will make a direct social impact while building a strong HR foundation.
What You'll Do5
- 1Maintain HRIS data for new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments, then audit timesheets for accurate payroll runs
- 2Schedule candidate interviews, process background checks, check references, and deliver compliant onboarding for new team members
- 3Answer employee benefits questions, assist with FMLA and STD paperwork, and support annual Open Enrollment
- 4Track mandatory compliance training and health certifications using the Relias platform
- 5Keep digital personnel files compliant with federal, state, and local labor standards and support internal audits
Requirements6
- 11-3 years in HR administrative, assistant, or corporate support roles
- 2High proficiency with MS Office suite
- 3Direct experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred
- 4Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5Exceptional communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills
- 6Interest in behavioral healthcare and addiction recovery
