Overview

This role owns direct service to members pursuing crisis resolution and ongoing wellness in the community at Turning Point Community Programs. You will apply lived experience, active listening, and recovery-oriented conversations to support goals at a community level. You will collaborate with team leads to connect clients with local resources and advocate for their needs. This position emphasizes empowerment, mutual learning, and practical strategies to strengthen self-sufficiency in a supportive setting.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build recovery plans with clients based on their hopes, strengths, and challenges and support progress toward stated goals
  • 2Provide on-the-spot supportive interactions aligned with the program philosophy to foster hope and stability
  • 3Attend team meetings and complete program paperwork as directed by supervisors
  • 4Support clients in wellness activities and maintain health and housekeeping logs
  • 5Assist in maintaining guest records and ensure health and safety practices are followed
  • 6Develop reciprocal relationships and natural support systems to promote self-sufficiency
  • 7Co-facilitate and participate in monthly co-reflection groups with participants
  • 8Uphold Turning Point policies and procedures and participate in continuous learning
  • 9Advocate for clients connections to local resources and services
  • 10Document outcomes and participate in program activities as required

Requirements6

  • 1High School diploma or GED
  • 2Varied life experiences related to mental health
  • 3California driver’s license with current vehicle insurance/registration
  • 4Reliable transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if vehicle is older than five years
  • 5Ability to work 3-4 days per week
  • 6Commitment to on-site, community-based service and open interview sessions on Wednesdays
