Overview
Certified Peer Support Specialist helps individuals overcome mental health obstacles using lived experience at scale in Wayne County. You will inspire hope, promote empowerment, and support self-determination within community-based settings. What You'll Do10

- 7Support peers in navigating Medicaid-funded services
- 8Participate in ongoing training and certification preparation

- 10Maintain professional conduct and safeguard confidentiality
Requirements10
- 1Must attest to a mental health diagnosis and demonstrate recovery progression to support others
- 218+ years of age
- 3Maintain 6 months of consecutive employment or 12 months within last 3 years of paid or volunteer work
- 4Able to participate in a two-week course for state certification or hold PCB CPS certification
- 5Ability to use iPad for documentation
- 6Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation
- 7Ability to work onsite in Wayne County, Michigan
- 8Comfort with community-based, home and location-based support
- 9Experience in peer support or related field preferred
- 10Flexibility to work in a role that blends clinical collaboration with non-clinical support
