- 8Empower members to self-advocate and maintain treatment commitments
- 9Travel regionally and document services via electronic health records
- 10Serve as mentor leveraging personal mental health recovery experience
- 11Complete Forensic Certified Peer Specialist training within six months of hire
Requirements8
- 1HS/GED education level with documented mental health challenges and coping mechanisms
- 2Valid driver's license and automotive insurance with reliable vehicle access
- 3One year of experience with mental health services preferred
- 4Familiarity with forensic peer specialist certification process
- 5Ability to pass background checks including FBI Act 73 and child abuse clearance
- 6Proficiency with computer software for documentation and billing
- 7Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse populations
- 8Commitment to recovery-oriented practices and collaborative teamwork
