Overview
The Medical Assistant will own all departmental functions supporting the mission of PM Pediatrics. This role offers a unique chance to provide pediatric urgent care while collaborating with physicians and staff. You will deliver compassionate patient care and maintain operational excellence.
What You'll Do16
- 1Provide clinical and administrative support for providers patients and office operations
- 2Greet and register patients as they arrive
- 3Obtain medical history patient vital signs and intake
- 4Prepare patients for X-rays perform and document routine labs such as throat and urine cultures
- 5Irrigate and assist with wound care
- 6Assist in quality control testing within the laboratory
- 7Maintain exam rooms and front reception stocked with adequate supplies
- 8Ensure waiting room cleanliness and organization
- 9Follow safety protocols and handle patient emergencies by notifying the medical team
- 10Report operational changes to management
- 11Protect patient confidentiality and manage healthcare information securely
- 12Enhance practice reputation through proactive service recovery
- 13Assist with patient complaints and improve service delivery
- 14Apply splints and support nurses or providers during medical procedures
- 15Deliver exceptional customer service
- 16Perform additional tasks as needed
Requirements11
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Prior experience or education as a Medical Assistant
- 3Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children
- 4Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture
- 5Professional and friendly demeanor with strong communication skills
- 6Prior pediatric experience
- 7Multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced environment
- 8Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- 9Willingness to learn medical software
- 10Experience with medical records
- 11Payroll availability for September 15 2026
