What You'll Do10
- 1Greet and register patients as they arrive, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
- 2Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake for each patient visit.
- 3Prepare patients for X-rays and assist with imaging procedures.
- 4Perform and document routine labs like throat and urine cultures, including venipuncture.
- 5Irrigate and assist with wound care, applying splints as needed.
- 6Assist with quality control testing in the lab, following safety protocols.
- 7Keep exam rooms and front reception stocked and clean, maintaining order.
- 8Respond to patient distress by alerting the medical team and providing immediate support.
- 9Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all policies and procedures.
- 10Handle patient complaints and perform service recovery to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Prior experience or education as a Medical Assistant
- 3Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children
- 4Ability to obtain lab tests via nasal swab and venipuncture
- 5Professional and friendly demeanor
- 6Strong communication and organizational skills
- 7Prior pediatric experience
- 8Capable of multi-tasking in a high-volume environment
- 9Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- 10Willingness to learn medical software and experience with medical records preferred
