What You'll Do11
- 1Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice while maintaining training and competency in pediatric specialties
- 2Perform rooming and visit tasks including vital signs medication reconciliation and health maintenance assessments
- 3Assist providers with procedures and manage lab duties such as venipuncture and specimen processing
- 4Conduct clinical laboratory improvement amendments and administer medications and vaccines safely
- 5Cross train for specialty-related duties and maintain clean work environments with proper equipment sterilization
- 6Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork while managing patient messaging and referral processes
- 7Ensure equipment functionality and proper supply management within clinical settings
- 8Assess patient needs based on age-specific requirements and apply appropriate care protocols
- 9Maintain accurate documentation and complete regulatory compliance forms regularly
- 10Participate in departmental job standards development for pediatric extended care practices
- 11Support overall healthcare operations through organized and efficient task execution
Requirements11
- 1High School Diploma or GED requirement varies by location
- 2Accredited Medical Assistant program or military clinical training equivalent
- 3Current AHA BLS certification required
- 4Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days
- 5Physical ability to lift 35 pounds independently or with equipment assistance
- 6Functional speech vision hearing and tactile skills for fine manipulation
- 7Experience with electronic medical records and computer proficiency
- 8Knowledge of pediatric growth development principles and patient assessment techniques
- 9Ability to work flexible hours including 12-hour shifts
- 10Commitment to maintaining professional standards and patient confidentiality
- 11Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
