Full time position supporting patient care and laboratory operations at Atrium Health's Family Medicine clinic in China Grove NC. Provide clinical support and administrative assistance while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and maintain current training and competency
- 2Perform rooming and visit tasks including vital signs and health assessments
- 3Assist providers with procedures and point of care testing
- 4Conduct venipuncture and specimen collection for laboratory services
- 5Administer medications and vaccines according to established protocols
- 6Complete CLIA approved laboratory tests and track results
- 7Maintain accurate documentation and complete regulatory logs
- 8Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and support staff
- 9Ensure equipment functionality and proper instrument cleaning
- 10Support team training and onboarding processes
- 11Serve as a role champion or committee member
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or GED requirement for Greater Charlotte division
- 2Accredited Medical Assistant program or military clinical training equivalent
- 3Current AHA BLS certification required
- 4Certification as CMA or RMA from recognized organizations
- 5Two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience
- 6Ability to lift 35 pounds independently
- 7Knowledge of patient assessment principles across lifespan
- 8Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days if required
