Payroll Specialist, Payroll & Compliance in Education
Overview
Own payroll processing for a multi-state educational organization at scale with a focus on accuracy and compliance. You will partner with a Payroll Manager to handle garnishments, deductions, reimbursements, manual checks, and employee inquiries. You will work with an external payroll vendor to correct pay issues and support special projects. The role sits onsite in Scottsdale and supports Cadence Education's national network of schools. What You'll Do5
- 1Process childcare deductions, reimbursements, garnishments, and other earnings or deductions
- 2Prepare payroll files for processing including automatic pay timecard punches and manual adjustments
- 3Assist employees or managers with payroll policy questions and pay discrepancies
- 4Collaborate with external payroll vendor to process paycheck corrections and reversals
- 5Support Payroll Manager with special projects and additional tasks as needed
Requirements5
- 1three 3 years of payroll experience
- 2associate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3knowledge of multi-state payroll tax withholdings and compliance
- 4proficient in Microsoft Excel
- 5ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
