The Payroll and Retirement Associate will own payroll processing and retirement plan administration for charter schools. What You'll Do11
- 1Upload or key data and process payroll for multiple client schools
- 2Maintain up-to-date information in payroll systems and virtual personnel files
- 3Determine eligibility and enrollment for CalSTRS and CalPERS retirement plans
- 4Provide customer service to client schools regarding payroll matters
- 5Set up and handle garnishment orders
- 6Streamline payroll workflows and submit retirement reports
- 7Process 401(k) and 403(b) deductions to vendors
- 8Deposit Social Security and Medicare taxes online to EDD
- 9Assist in periodic training on payroll policies and procedures
- 10Coordinate with accounting and ExED staff as needed
- 11Help schools with general payroll inquiries
Requirements8
- 13-5 years of payroll processing experience
- 2Bachelor’s Degree
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- 4Team player with strong professional relationship skills
- 5Self-starter capable of prioritizing tasks and multitasking
- 6Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
