Overview
Own payroll operations for ~3,500 employees across US and Canada in a contract role at a Scottsdale HQ. You will support bi-weekly payroll processing, compliance, audits, reconciliations, reporting, and system-related projects. Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and IT to maintain data integrity and implement process improvements. What You'll Do5
- 1Build and maintain payroll reconciliation workbooks and audit reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- 2Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and controls.
- 3Lead payroll-related projects including system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process improvements.
- 4Provide SME support for payroll systems, troubleshoot issues, test enhancements, and validate updates.
- 5Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and external vendors to resolve issues and drive improvements.
Requirements5
- 14+ years proven payroll processing in a large multi-state environment
- 2Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP
- 3Experience with payroll reconciliations, audits, and data analysis in complex environments
- 4Familiarity with Federal, State and Local withholding and unemployment compliance
- 5Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
