Paraprofessional - Resource at Val Vista Lakes Elementary, Title I Support
Overview
Paraprofessional will support special needs students under a certified teacher's supervision in inclusive classrooms at a Title I campus. The role involves assisting with instruction, behavioral plans, data collection, and ongoing record keeping to support learning goals and DSC requirements. This is on-site, 9-month, with 7 hours per day at Gilbert Public Schools in Phoenix area.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assist in instruction for individuals or small groups under a teacher or therapist guidance.
- 2Implement behavioral plans designed by the IEP team to support student needs.
- 3Prepare and provide instructional materials for individual students.
- 4Monitor safety and behavior in classrooms, lunch, playground, and field trips.
- 5Record daily instructional and behavioral data and support Direct Service Claiming (DSC) requirements.
- 6Maintain clerical records and assist with data reporting.
- 7Respond to emergencies to ensure student safety.
- 8Adapt activities, assignments, and materials to enable participation by all students.
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Associate degree or 60 college credits or Para Pro credential
- 3Valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 4Current CPI certification as requested by supervisor
- 5Experience in a school setting or with special education students preferred
