Overview

Support general and special education teachers by assisting individual students or small groups in classroom and resource settings. This role offers on-site, part-time contract work in a collaborative school community.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build individualized supports for students in small groups to reinforce material
  • 2Design and reinforce strategies based on students needs in collaboration with teachers
  • 3Lead supervision during drills, assemblies, lunch, and field trips to ensure safety
  • 4Ship and organize instructional materials and equipment for classroom activities
  • 5Own data collection related to student performance across academic and behavioral domains
  • 6Drive accurate record keeping in line with district policies
  • 7Manage connections with substitute teachers and support staff during absences
  • 8Monitor daily schedules and behavior plans to maintain a positive learning environment
  • 9Debug and troubleshoot educational technology usage in classrooms
  • 10Assist students with personal care and self-help skills as needed

  • 1High School Diploma/GED required
  • 2Paraprofessional Assessment completed successfully
  • 3Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card Level One IVP
  • 4Background checks as required by district policies
  • 5Travel between campuses and light lifting up to 25 pounds
