Overview
You will own chairside support for orthodontic procedures at SMILE-FX® in Miramar, FL, a studio integrating 3D imaging, iTero scanners, and Invisalign workflows. You'll work alongside doctors to deliver aligner therapy and braces, educating patients and managing treatment records. The team values initiative and clinical precision, offering paid training, X-Ray certification support, and a path to advanced EFDA or CDA roles. What You'll Do9
- 1Provide chairside assistance during bonding, bracket placement, and separator fitting, using 3D-guided workflows
- 2Capture intraoral X-rays and iTero scans, maintaining accurate digital records and treatment photos
- 3Deliver Invisalign aligners and attachments, fitting bands and appliances per doctor instructions
- 4Take impressions for custom mouthguards and retainers, ensuring proper isolation with suction techniques
- 5Educate patients on oral hygiene and braces aftercare, reinforcing treatment compliance
- 6Sterilize instruments per OSHA and CDC standards, prepping treatment rooms for daily operations
- 7Document treatment notes in dental software, managing patient records and photographs
- 8Support phone bookings, confirmations, and HIPAA documentation for patient intake
- 9Participate in community events and practice promotion to boost patient engagement
Requirements8
- 12+ years as an orthodontic assistant, with hands-on Invisalign attachment and aligner delivery
- 2Active X-Ray Certification in Florida, with CPR certification
- 3Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, required for patient communication
- 4Proficiency with iTero or Trios scanners and dental software like Dental Monitoring
- 5Knowledge of sterilization methods and OSHA standards, with attention to detail
- 6High school diploma; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred
- 7CDA or EFDA credentials considered an asset
- 8Computer literacy with practice management systems, and reliability for in-person role in Miramar, FL
