Overview
Owns warehouse operations including safety, quality, and efficiency for outbound shipping in a leading 3PL. Manages workload, schedules, and associates to ensure policy conformity and cost effectiveness. Partners with safety and process teams to implement improvements and mentor staff. This role offers exposure to distribution operations at scale and opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead daily work flow and schedule assignments to maximize throughput and cost effectiveness
- 2Direct and audit outbound shipping accuracy and timeliness ensuring policy compliance
- 3Mentor, coach, and evaluate associates including corrective actions and performance reviews
- 4Monitor zoning and product database development during receiving and maintain accurate records
- 5Train teams on policies, procedures, and Standard Work to ensure process adherence
- 6Assist Safety Advocate with Safety Program and participate on Safety Committee
- 7Contribute to development of new processes and process improvements
- 8Resolve associate grievances and maintain harmonious team dynamics
- 9Prepare and communicate operational updates to leadership as needed
- 10Oversee inventory activities and support periodic/spot inventories
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience
- 2Minimum of three years of experience in warehousing or distribution
- 3Minimum of six months supervisory experience
- 4PC and computer skills including Microsoft Office
- 5Strong communication and relationship management abilities
