Overview

What You'll Do8
- 1Lead the 2nd shift team to hit daily outbound and inbound targets, maintaining 99%+ inventory accuracy using WMS and RF scanners.
- 2Build shift schedules and assign tasks, ensuring coverage for peak periods and cross-training associates on forklifts and pallet jacks.
- 3Coach each direct report with weekly one-on-ones, setting clear performance goals and addressing gaps in real time.
- 4Champion OSHA and DOT compliance, conducting daily safety walks and documenting corrective actions.
- 5Debug order fulfillment issues by analyzing error logs and implementing root-cause fixes within 48 hours.
- 6Drive continuous improvement by mapping pick paths and slotting layouts, cutting travel time by 15% in the first quarter.
- 7Coordinate with maintenance to keep conveyors, forklifts, and dock doors in top condition, reducing downtime.
- 8Track shift KPIs like units per hour and damage rates, presenting weekly summaries to the operations manager.
Requirements6
- 14+ years of logistics experience in a warehouse environment, with 1+ year supervising hourly teams.
- 2Hands-on knowledge of WMS (preferably Manhattan or SAP EWM) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- 3OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- 4Proven ability to resolve conflicts and keep morale high under deadline pressure.
- 5Experience with Lean or Six Sigma tools, such as 5S or Kaizen, a plus.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
