Overview

Lead the technical and SFX operations for a multi‑location immersive entertainment venue, driving reliability of all effects, AV, and network systems at scale. Manage a small tech and SFX team, coordinate with HQ leaders, and ensure an exceptional guest experience during peak shifts. This role blends hands‑on technical work with people leadership in a high‑energy, paint and foam environment. You’ll stand at the intersection of operations, technology, and guest delight to keep the experience seamless across shifts.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and maintain reliable tech and SFX systems across bomb rooms and venues to minimize downtime
  • 2Lead on shift as onsite tech/SFX lead during peak periods and resolve urgent issues under pressure
  • 3Manage technology inventory, spare parts stock, and vendor relationships
  • 4Oversee the server room and location network and support HQ on software updates and feature testing
  • 5Train managers and staff on tech and SFX protocols and SOPs
  • 6Coordinate with HQ CTO and Technology Manager to align with corporate standards
  • 7Open/close the location and support guest reservations and onboarding as needed
  • 8Pilot continuous improvements to guest experience and safety standards across the venue
  • 9Partner with operations leadership to deliver consistent, high‑quality guest experiences
  • 10Respond to occasional after‑hours emergencies and communicate issues clearly to leadership

Requirements9

  • 13+ years of IT or AV support in a venue setting such as entertainment centers or arcades
  • 21+ years in interactive or activated venues like laser tag arenas or similar experiences
  • 3Working knowledge of Windows systems, PC hardware, and OS configuration
  • 4Basic networking literacy including modems, routers, switches, and IPv4
  • 5Comfort debugging AV and mechanical issues and performing basic repairs
  • 6Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 7Available nights, weekends, and holidays
  • 8Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a hands‑on environment
  • 9Experience managing venue operations and staff with a customer‑facing role
