Headliner Infrastructure Manager - Insomniac
Overview
Lead engineering infrastructure for global festivals and events. This manager owns festival and large scale event engineering. Partner with production teams on site builds ensuring engineering integrity and compliance. Reports to VP Building & Engineering. Not remote.
What You'll Do24
- 1Manage infrastructure planning for festival and large scale events
- 2Partner with production teams on site builds ensuring engineering integrity and compliance
- 3Ensure compliance with installation and teardown of temporary systems
- 4Conduct site inspections and risk assessments before during and after events
- 5Source hire and manage contractors engineers and various vendors
- 6Manage scope of work budgets timelines and performance
- 7Ensure all vendors adhere to Insomniac safety and operational standards
- 8Maintain permits inspections and certifications across all event sites and venues
- 9Develop and enforce safety protocols emergency response procedures and incident reporting
- 10Provide training on safety systems and operational procedures
- 11Foster a culture of accountability innovation and continuous improvement
- 12Partner with Production HR Legal Operations and other teams
- 13Support new venue builds renovations and special projects
- 14Partner with sustainability teams on energy efficiency and environmental initiatives
- 15Develop and manage operating expenditure budgets identify cost saving opportunities
- 16Track expenses related to maintenance repairs and infrastructure builds
- 17Frequent travel required economy
- 18Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally
- 19Tolerate loud noise levels busy environments
- 20Manage multiple projects and requests against multiple tight deadlines
- 21Work in drastic temperature climates
- 22Exposure to sensitive company information requires strict confidentiality
- 23Discretion in dealing with staff vendors and business associates
- 24Work evenings weekends travel to events as required
Requirements18
- 16+ years experience in building engineering facilities management or event infrastructure
- 2Degree in Engineering operations management or related field
- 3Nightlife or music industry experience
- 4Knowledge of sustainable building practices energy management
- 5Experience supporting large scale live events festivals or entertainment venues
- 6Familiarity with temporary power systems and large scale event builds
- 7Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and building/fire codes
- 8Proven experience managing vendors and contractors
- 9Strong organizational and project management skills
- 10Motivated with an Everything is possible attitude
- 11Active problem solver sense of urgency for projects
- 12Willing to travel domestically and internationally
- 13Ability to tolerate loud noise levels busy environments
- 14Manage multiple projects and requests against multiple tight deadlines
