Operations Assistant - Bilingual Altium Packaging
Overview
The bilingual Operations Assistant will own purchasing and inventory for an HDPE extruded plastics factory. They will enter production reports manage stock purchases perform cycle counts ship and receive items. This role requires hands-on manufacturing experience and strong vendor relationship management.
What You'll Do11
- 1Collect and reconcile daily material usage and production data
- 2Generate purchase orders and schedule deliveries
- 3Receive incoming shipments and verify item accuracy
- 4Maintain safety stock levels and monitor inventory
- 5Manage vendor lists and backup Material Handler duties
- 6Operate pumping systems to transfer resin to silos
- 7Prepare bottles grind and palletize using packaging equipment
- 8Run JDE inventory system and maintain Excel databases
- 9Conduct safety training and uphold OSHA compliance
- 10Lead Production Packaging Associate tasks when needed
- 11Provide backup support to Production Packaging and Material Handler teams
Requirements8
- 15+ years managing purchasing and inventory in manufacturing
- 2Spark and Airflow experience with Altium Packaging
- 3High school diploma or GED required
- 4Basic mathematical skills essential
- 5One to three years relevant experience preferred
- 6Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency
- 7CPC Card certification preferred
- 8Knowledge of JDE inventory system and safety protocols
