Office Assistant SPED, 9 Month Position in Gilbert Unified School District
Overview
This role supports special education staff with clerical duties at a district elementary campus. Youll manage IEP files calendars prepare reports and assist speech pathology psychology and teachers with office tasks. The team relies on accurate records timely communications and organized data management. This position offers onsite work with a focus on supporting student services and collaboration within the SPED team.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain IEP and MET calendars to ensure timely meetings and notices
- 2Assist the speech pathologist and psychologists with reporting and material preparation
- 3Prepare and organize files records and reports to support SPED staff
- 4Respond to inquiries from students staff and the public providing information and directions
- 5Disseminate quarterly reports and manage transfer student records
- 6Perform routine clerical tasks such as copying faxing filing scheduling and document preparation
- 7Prepare written materials such as standardized correspondence and newsletters
- 8Research discrepancies in information to ensure accuracy before processing
- 9Attend meetings to gather and convey information required for duties
- 10Maintain inventory of office supplies and materials to support daily operations
Requirements5
- 1High School diploma or equivalent
- 2Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 3Experience with clerical or office duties in an educational setting preferred
- 4Ability to maintain accurate IEP related records and calendars
- 5Strong organizational and communication skills
