In this role you will own the delivery of individualized instruction for students with developmental delays at a Phoenix area high school campus. You will collaborate with district specialists and IEP teams to develop goals, monitor progress, and report outcomes. This position is onsite, full-time, for a 10 month contract with potential for renewal.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build weekly lesson plans aligned to curriculum goals and IEP objectives
- 2Diagnose, instruct, and evaluate student needs with district support
- 3Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and families
- 4Develop and implement individualized educational programs for students with varying functioning levels
- 5Attend IEP meetings and maintain communication with IEP team members
- 6Write quarterly progress reports and establish short and long-term learning goals
- 7Maintain accurate records and ensure safety and orderly instructional areas
- 8Collaborate with paraprofessionals and colleagues to support student learning
- 9Create a positive, productive classroom environment conducive to learning
- 10Uphold district policies and professional ethics in all interactions
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 2Valid Arizona Special Education Certificate
- 3Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 4Meets grade level or subject area endorsements for certification
- 5Experience in special education or related field preferred
