Overview

Own the development and execution of individualized education programs for students with diverse needs in an inclusive setting. You will collaborate with staff, parents, and specialists to promote progress and well being at scale. You will design engaging lessons spanning literacy, math, physical education, and other subjects tailored to learners with disabilities. This role emphasizes collaboration, early intervention, and a compassionate classroom environment to support holistic development.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Build individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapt plans for each student
  • 2Design engaging lesson plans across literacy, math, physical education, and other subjects using learning technology
  • 3Lead classroom behavior management to maintain a positive learning environment
  • 4Coordinate with speech therapists and multidisciplinary teams to support communication development
  • 5Monitor student progress with standardized assessments and adjust instruction accordingly
  • 6Collaborate with families, staff, and specialists to support each student’s educational plan
  • 7Implement early intervention strategies and developmentally appropriate practices
  • 8Create inclusive and safe classroom environments that support emotional well being

Requirements5

  • 1Valid state special education teaching certification with appropriate endorsement
  • 2Strong classroom management and behavior management skills
  • 3Experience with children with autism or developmental disabilities
  • 4Familiarity with IEP processes and standardized testing protocols
  • 5Ability to design and implement lesson plans for diverse learners and knowledge of curriculum development across literacy, math, and early childhood education
