What You'll Do8
- 1Design lesson plans with accommodations aligned to IEP goals and state standards
- 2Adapt general education curriculum to meet individual student needs
- 3Implement and manage classroom PBIS program including behavior tracking and parent communication
- 4Supervise and direct paraprofessionals assigned to your classroom
- 5Attend and lead IEP meetings write updates and maintain compliant documentation
- 6Conduct assessments and track student progress toward IEP goals
- 7Collaborate with related service providers families and outside agencies
- 8Support implementation of assistive technology and augmentative communication devices
Requirements7
- 1Arizona Department of Education Special Education Teaching Certificate Bachelor's degree
- 2IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 3Master’s in special education preferred
- 42–5 years working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs
- 5Experience implementing curriculum and behavior interventions
- 6Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- 7Proficiency with IEP documentation systems such as IEP Pro
