Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA - Home Health
Overview
You'll help patients regain independence through skilled occupational therapy in their homes. Working under an OTR, you'll deliver therapy from the physician's care plan. You'll serve communities in Prince George's and Anne Arundel Counties. This role requires 1+ years as a COTA with strong clinical skills. What You'll Do6
- 1Deliver skilled therapy as directed by the OTR and physician's care plan.
- 2Assist patients with daily living activities to build independence.
- 3Instruct patients and caregivers on safe transfers and positioning.
- 4Educate families on exercises for upper extremity strength.
- 5Document patient progress and submit records within 24 hours.
- 6Follow agency policies and home health best practices.
Requirements4
- 1Current COTA certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- 21+ years of experience as a COTA (home health preferred).
- 3Valid driver's license, reliable car, and auto insurance.
- 4Strong interpersonal and clinical skills.
