What You'll Do7
- 1Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of an OT for the first 90 days.
- 2Document patient progress and report changes in patient status to the supervising OT.
- 3Educate patients on adaptive equipment and home exercise programs.
- 4Collaborate with the therapy team to adjust plans based on patient response.
- 5Complete daily documentation in compliance with facility and state regulations.
- 6Build rapport with patients and families to enhance therapy engagement.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring equipment is in working order.
Requirements6
- 1Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program required.
- 2Current, unencumbered state COTA License; NBCOT Certification required.
- 31+ year of previous experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
- 4Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 6Basic computer skills for documentation.
