Nurse Practitioner, OTP Clinic MAT
Overview
Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an OTP clinic in Sun Valley, CA. You will own patient admissions for Methadone and Buprenorphine treatment, including history and physical exams, documentation in the EMR, and medication orders. You will supervise medication dosing in the Medical Director's absence, working with a team of counselors and nurses. This role offers 9 hours per week, flexible morning hours, and the opportunity to impact opioid recovery.
What You'll Do6
- 1Admit patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine treatment, completing history and physical exams.
- 2Document patient encounters in the EMR and enter dosing orders for Methadone or write Buprenorphine prescriptions.
- 3Authorize and supervise daily narcotic replacement therapy in the Medical Director's absence.
- 4Monitor patient dosages with the Program Physician, Medical Director, and counselors.
- 5Collaborate with dosing nurses to adjust treatment plans based on patient response.
- 6Complete all required paperwork and compliance checks for new admissions.
Requirements6
- 11+ year experience in MAT or addiction medicine
- 2Active license in good standing in the State of California
- 3Satisfactory drug screen and background check
- 4Ability to work 9 hours per week between 7 am and Noon
- 5Knowledge of Methadone and Buprenorphine protocols
- 6Strong clinical assessment skills for physical exams
