Overview
The Nurse Supervisor oversees daily operations of the medical department in an opioid treatment program. This role involves nursing services patient care lab management and staff supervision. It includes planning assessment intervention and evaluation of patient needs along with phlebotomy and medication administration.
What You'll Do11
- 1Ensure efficient nursing and lab operations
- 2Assess patient dosing appropriateness
- 3Administer methadone as prescribed
- 4Maintain patient dosing records and medication inventory
- 5Collect urine specimens and maintain medical supplies
- 6Train and supervise nursing and lab staff
- 7Coordinate care with physicians and community providers
- 8Report and document workplace issues and injuries
- 9Develop and manage medical department schedules
- 10Conduct internal program reviews and audits
- 11Participate in staff meetings training and community meetings
Requirements7
- 1Valid RN nursing license in the state of employment
- 2CPR and First Aid certification
- 3Minimum of one year of experience in substance abuse treatment and administration
- 4Advanced knowledge of medication-assisted treatment
- 5Leadership supervisory and teaching skills
- 6Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 7Proficient in basic computing and office equipment
