Overview

You will provide medical screening and support for clients at a top-ranked addiction treatment center in Nashville. Work with a dedicated clinical team to aid recovery from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. This role offers the chance to make a real impact in clients' lives. Weekend shifts available. What You'll Do10

  • 1Obtain medical histories and schedule physical examinations and lab work for new clients.
  • 2Act as liaison with the Assistant Medical Director to provide recommended treatments.
  • 3Coordinate with MAT providers and monitor pill counts for MAT clients.
  • 4Obtain urine specimens and submit UA paperwork to billing.
  • 5Assist in evaluating medical and psychiatric complaints, making referrals as needed.
  • 6Dispense medications and monitor self-medication compliance in the absence of a nurse.
  • 7Document all medical evaluations, complaints, and referrals accurately.
  • 8Assist with nutritional counseling for clients per dietary standards.
  • 9Conduct educational lectures and seminars for clients as scheduled.
  • 10Organize medication and medical supply inventory, and maintain emergency supplies.

Requirements8

  • 1Associate's or Bachelor's degree with 1+ year related experience.
  • 2Experience with adults in substance abuse and co-occurring disorders treatment.
  • 3Valid current certification as a CNA or Medical Assistant.
  • 4Valid CPR certification.
  • 5Knowledge of medical screening and referral procedures.
  • 6Ability to work weekends and on-site.
  • 7Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • 8Proficiency with electronic medical records.
