Therapist, Behavioral Health & Substance Use Treatment
Overview
You will provide therapy at a brand-new inpatient behavioral health center in Madison, TN, serving adults with mental health and substance use disorders. You will own a caseload of individual, group, and family sessions, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, and case management staff. You will work in a structured, collaborative environment with flexible scheduling across Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Sunday-Thursday. This role offers the chance to make an immediate impact in a new facility, with support for both pre-licensed and licensed clinicians.
What You'll Do9
- 1Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities to address substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- 2Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries within 48 hours of client intake.
- 3Develop individualized treatment goals with clients and adjust them based on ongoing evaluation.
- 4Collaborate with medical, clinical, nursing, case management, and support staff to ensure integrated care.
- 5Participate in daily multidisciplinary team meetings to review client progress and adjust treatment plans.
- 6Respond to crises and implement de-escalation techniques while supporting discharge planning and continuity of care.
- 7Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation that meets facility, state, and regulatory standards.
- 8Coordinate with external providers and family members to support aftercare and relapse prevention.
- 9Facilitate psychoeducation groups on coping skills, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation.
Requirements7
- 1Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2Master's-level or pre-licensed clinicians welcome to apply; licensed candidates must hold active TN LCSW, LAC, LPC, LMFT, or LADAC II.
- 33+ years of behavioral health treatment experience required.
- 4Experience with substance use disorders, mental health, or dual-diagnosis populations preferred.
- 5Detox, residential, or other inpatient behavioral health experience highly preferred.
- 6Strong clinical documentation, communication, and crisis-management skills.
- 7Ability to work in person at the Nashville facility, with schedules available Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Sunday-Thursday.
