Overview
As BHT Supervisor at Haven Detox Nashville, you will build and lead a team of Behavioral Health Technicians at our new inpatient dual-diagnosis center in Madison, TN. You will own shift operations, staff development, and crisis response from day one at this brand-new facility. Supervising 2+ years of BHT leadership experience, you will shape culture and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards. What You'll Do7
- 1Supervise, coach, and support Behavioral Health Technicians across assigned shifts to ensure safe, therapeutic, and structured operations.
- 2Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and performance management of BHT staff.
- 3Respond to patient crises and provide leadership during emergency situations.
- 4Complete shift reports, incident documentation, and ensure timely, accurate charting.
- 5Conduct routine facility rounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
- 6Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and operations leadership to deliver high-quality patient care.
- 7Promote compliance with Joint Commission standards, state regulations, and company policies.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 22+ years of Behavioral Health Technician experience in an inpatient behavioral health or substance use treatment setting.
- 3Previous supervisory, lead, or charge experience strongly preferred.
- 4Experience working with dual-diagnosis, detox, or residential populations is highly preferred.
- 5Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- 6Strong leadership, communication, crisis intervention, and de-escalation skills.
- 7Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
