Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - Adolescent Residential
Overview
You will implement treatment goals and daily structure for adolescent males aged 12-17 in a Phoenix residential facility. BHT work directly with a team of counselors and clinical staff, ensuring each resident's Health, Safety, and Welfare. You'll facilitate groups, document progress, and supervise daily activities, making a direct impact on at-risk youth. This role offers flexible scheduling with 2 shifts per week, including weekends, and requires a Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
What You'll Do7
- 1Implement treatment plan objectives for each resident to meet their goals.
- 2Facilitate group meetings focused on skill-building and therapeutic topics.
- 3Document daily progress notes using the facility's electronic system.
- 4Monitor and supervise residents to maintain a safe, structured environment.
- 5Enforce daily schedule and provide role modeling for constructive behavior.
- 6Assist residents with daily activities, including meals, hygiene, and recreation.
- 7Complete incident reports and maintain communication with clinical team.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in social-related field with no experience, or any field with 1 year experience.
- 2Associate's degree with 2 years experience, or High School (GED) with 4 years experience.
- 3Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain before start).
- 4Must be 25 years or older.
- 5Valid driver's license with a 39-month clean driving record.
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 7Strong leadership and ability to establish rapport with at-risk youth.
- 8Candidates must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
