Behavioral Health Technician, Substance Use Disorder Support
Overview
You'll provide direct patient supervision and support at a Joint Commission accredited addiction treatment center, ensuring safety and fostering trust during recovery. You'll report to the Executive Director and work onsite in Mooresville, NC, collaborating with therapy and medical staff. This role stands out through its emphasis on patient interaction and its national reach with 18 locations and Telehealth services.
What You'll Do6
- 1Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and document incidents to maintain a secure environment.
- 2Measure and report vital signs, administer UDS and pregnancy tests, and follow company policies for waive testing.
- 3Offer emotional support and refer clinical concerns to therapy staff while maintaining respectful interactions.
- 4Share patient updates with the team and collaborate to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- 5Assist with patient transport, group coordination, and recreational activities to support daily programming.
- 6Supervise supplies, ensure facility safety, and manage discharge preparations to streamline operations.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- 3At least 23 years old to meet motor vehicle insurance requirements.
- 4Relevant behavioral health certification (preferred).
- 5Work experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment (preferred).
- 6Experience with detox and residential levels of care (preferred).
- 7Associate's degree or higher (preferred).
