Mental Health Therapist, Trauma-Informed EMDR
Overview
You will own a client caseload of 12-15 clients per week at Brighton Counseling Services, a private group practice in Denver, Colorado. You will provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families presenting with challenges like PTSD, depression, anxiety, and relational difficulties. As a 1099 contractor, you will have autonomy over your schedule, with hybrid in-person and telehealth sessions. What You'll Do9
- 1Build a caseload of 12-15 clients per week through referrals from the front office staff and community connections.
- 2Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- 3Deliver evidence-based therapy such as CBT, behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention to individuals, couples, and families.
- 4Collaborate with clients to identify goals and monitor progress throughout treatment.
- 5Maintain timely and accurate client records in the EHR system, updating notes daily.
- 6Submit billing information to the billing company and maintain billing records for insurance and EAP claims.
- 7Attend team meetings when possible and participate in group consultations for case discussion.
- 8Hold an active Colorado mental health license and maintain own malpractice insurance.
- 9Utilize research-based techniques to address specific concerns like PTSD, ADHD, and family issues.
Requirements9
- 11+ year counseling experience required.
- 2Current LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent in Colorado. Will consider MFTC, LPCC, and LSW applicants.
- 3Master's degree from an accredited counseling program.
- 4Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches for various mental health conditions.
- 5Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with diverse clients.
- 6Proficient in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
- 7Familiarity with data collection methods and outcome measurement tools.
- 8Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- 9Colorado mental health license preferred. Must relocate to Brighton, CO before starting work.
