Overview

Own patient care coordination in a podiatry setting with DME and wound care experience. You will support providers before, during, and after visits at a Phoenix clinic, ensuring accurate EMR documentation and safe procedural setup. This role integrates rooming, vitals, imaging, injections, and sterile technique to maintain high-quality patient experiences. You’ll work with a collaborative RN/physician team in a hands-on environment focused on comfort and safety.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build patient charts for visits and verify outstanding results in EMR
  • 2Prepare exam rooms and equipment for procedures, including injection prep
  • 3Assist with wound care, DME orders, and post-visit follow up
  • 4Assist the provider by handing instruments and supplies during procedures
  • 5Maintain sterile technique and safety throughout surgical draping and procedures
  • 6Monitor biohazard and sharps containers and restock rooms
  • 7Respond to voicemails within 48 business hours and document actions in EMR
  • 8Document objective and subjective data for physician review
  • 9Coordinate care communications between patient and provider
  • 10Assist in preparing prescriptions and patient forms

Requirements10

  • 1Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or LPN license
  • 2High School Diploma or GED
  • 32 years Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • 4DME and wound care experience required
  • 5Knowledge of EMR charting and medical documentation
  • 6Knowledge of wound care and pain management best practices
  • 7Ability to assist with patient care in emergency situations
  • 8Proficiency with clinical equipment and office technology
  • 9Ability to lift and transfer patients and stand for extended periods
  • 10Flexibility with scheduling to cover patient needs
