What You'll Do10

  • 1Build patient flow by rooming patients, collecting vitals, and preparing for visits with the provider
  • 2Capture and document accurate data in the EMR to support care decisions and billing
  • 3Deliver injections prep, procedure setup, and radiology image access for provider use
  • 4Maintain exam rooms, restock supplies, and manage cleanups at end of day
  • 5Assist with prescription prep, patient forms, and communication with patients within 24 hours
  • 6Support participation in PROs and Quality Payment Programs to improve outcomes
  • 7Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain a positive patient experience
  • 8Manage EMR desktops for assigned providers and keep clinic schedules up to date
  • 9Verify testing results and imaging needs are documented prior to visits
  • 10Scan clinical documents into EMR and assist with documentation workflows

Requirements10

  • 11-2 years of experience in orthopedics, spine surgery, or pain management preferred or CMA certification with recent formal training
  • 2Active MA certification such as RMA CMA CCMA NCMA with current membership proof
  • 3Graduated from a formal training program within last 12-18 months or grandfathered under state regulation
  • 4Passing the MA competence exam within six months of employment
  • 5Experience with office medical procedures, insurance knowledge, EMR and scheduling software
  • 6BLS certification and high school diploma or GED
  • 7Ability to obtain and document vitals, communicate with providers, and maintain exam room standards
  • 8Experience with radiology images, DME, and patient education as directed by provider
  • 9Strong data entry and documentation skills within EMR
  • 10Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
