Mechanical Technician, Power Gen & Assembly
Overview
This role owns building and inspecting generator components and subsystems at scale within a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency improvements. You will document findings from tests and use precision measuring equipment daily. This position offers an onsite, contract opportunity in Menlo Park and a chance to contribute to power generation advancements.

Requirements10
- 1Minimum of 5 years industry experience, ideally 10+ years in automotive assembly and troubleshooting
- 2Ability to read and follow assembly procedures to build complex assemblies
- 3Experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assemblies
- 4Ability to work from engineering drawings, schematics, or assembly instructions
- 5Experience with quality inspections and documentation
- 6Ability to work with tight tolerances (.001" )
- 7Experience in manufacturing, automotive, heavy equipment, energy, aerospace, or industrial environments
- 8Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- 9Metal fabrication skills
- 10Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and gauge blocks
