What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and oversee mechanical build and production operations for space hardware
  • 2Design and implement test procedures and processes for I&T activities
  • 3Coordinate test activities with a team of engineers to ensure system health
  • 4Analyze test results and make determinations on hardware health and performance
  • 5Lead and mentor a team of engineers in mechanical operations and manufacturing
  • 6Apply 5S FOD ESD and Six Sigma/Lean practices to improve production
  • 7Use 3D modeling and drawing tools for design modeling and fabrication
  • 8Collaborate across space vehicle subsystems to validate end-to-end performance
  • 9Ensure safety constraints and hazards are identified and mitigated
  • 10Support test planning and execution within DoD Top Secret program requirements

Requirements9

  • 1Bachelor's Degree in STEM and 2 years of related experience OR Master's Degree and 0 years of experience
  • 2Active DoD Top Secret clearance required at time of application
  • 3Ability to obtain and retain SCI and/or SAP clearances
  • 4Experience in integration, test, mechanical operations, or manufacturing
  • 5Preferred: 5+ years in mechanical/integration/test for space vehicles
  • 6Experience with 3-D modeling tools and flight spacecraft testing
  • 7Knowledge of 5S/FOD, ESD and Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing techniques
  • 8Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
  • 9Ability to work in Gilbert AZ on a 9/80 schedule
