Overview
You will own system test development for space payloads at Northrop Grumman, synthesizing contractual needs into test solutions that balance technical, schedule, and cost constraints. You will lead comprehensive test plans and coordinate integrated testing across the Space Sector Eastern Region SEIT Engineering Organization in Rolling Meadows, IL. The mission drives advances in space systems, from stealth to lunar exploration. This role demands Top Secret clearance and up to 25% travel, with hands-on management of test equipment calibration and sanitization. You will stand out by directly supporting warfighter capabilities through rigorous system-level evaluation.
What You'll Do9
- 1Synthesize customer contractual needs into system test solutions that factor technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- 2Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for space systems.
- 3Coordinate integrated testing activities across cross-functional teams to ensure complete coverage.
- 4Review and evaluate test requirements to verify completeness of the test program.
- 5Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare system-level evaluations for decision-making.
- 6Maintain an active list of calibrated equipment at Rolling Meadows, updating calibration records in TEAMMS.
- 7Support sanitizing equipment for egress from closed area labs, coordinating shipping to calibration departments or vendor sites.
- 8Work with program security to generate transportation plans for sanitized equipment due for calibration.
- 9Track egress and ingress of equipment with Govt property during calibration and special test events.
Requirements7
- 14+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or a Master's degree for Engineer level; 5+ years with a Bachelor's, 2+ years with a Master's, or a PhD for Principal level.
- 2Active Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval.
- 3History of strong organization and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
- 4Experience with material and test equipment management.
- 5Experience with integration and test activities for space hardware.
- 6Familiarity with signal generators and spectral analyzers in integration and test.
- 7Ability to travel 25% of the time.
