What You'll Do8

  • 1Define test plans, test cases, and traceability back to requirements and design for Kafka-based asynchronous workflows.
  • 2Collaborate with systems engineers to translate mission planning requirements into testable software solutions.
  • 3Implement and maintain cloud-deployed services, including monitoring, logging, and alerting on AWS or Azure.
  • 4Participate in code reviews and test automation efforts, integrating tests into Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • 5Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, container, and cloud layers using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • 6Build and maintain automated test suites for Python and JavaScript, ensuring robust regression and performance coverage.
  • 7Lead integration testing for containerized applications, validating message flows, topics, and consumer groups.
  • 8Drive continuous improvement of integration practices by adopting TestComplete and pytest frameworks.

Requirements9

  • 112+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's in STEM, or 10+ years with a Master's.
  • 2Active Top Secret clearance, with ability to obtain Special Program Access.
  • 3Hands-on testing of containerized apps with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • 4Experience testing systems using Kafka or similar message bus for asynchronous communication.
  • 5Proficiency with test automation tools like TestComplete, JUnit, Mockito, pytest, or Catch2.
  • 6Strong scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar for test automation.
  • 7Experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • 8Solid understanding of test design techniques: boundary analysis, equivalence classes, and negative testing.
  • 9Proficiency with Git, GitLab/GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Jira for source control and tracking.
