  • 2Develop 3D CAD models and fabrication-ready drawings, including weldments and assemblies.
  • 3Detail structural steel components such as frames, platforms, and mounting structures to meet strength and safety requirements.
  • 4Integrate tube routing, conduit routing, and piping layouts into mechanical and structural designs, optimizing clearances.
  • 5Apply welding symbols and fabrication standards to ensure manufacturability and alignment with shop practices.
  • 6Support prototype builds and installations by reviewing redlines and updating designs to resolve issues.
  • 7Collaborate with fabrication shops and weld environments to clarify design intent and implement improvements.
  • 8Assist with structural sizing and layout decisions, balancing cost, schedule, and constructability.
  • 9Interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials to guide design and build activities.
  • 10Drive continuous improvement in design processes for rapid design/build cycles.

Requirements14

  • 11+ years with 3D CAD software, strong preference for NX (Unigraphics); Creo, CATIA, or SolidWorks acceptable.
  • 2Proven experience creating engineering drawings and 3D models for fabrication, including weldments and assemblies.
  • 3Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 4Experience with structural steel detailing, including frames, weldments, and platforms.
  • 5Working knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication drawings.
  • 6Experience with tube routing in mechanical systems.
  • 7Experience with conduit routing for electrical systems.
  • 8Experience with piping systems and integration with structural designs.
