Mechanical Assembler, Meter Testing & Assembly
Overview
You will own the assembly, testing, and data administration of meters and communication modules in a temperature-controlled facility. You will work in close partnership with the Production Control Manager to ensure quality standards. This role involves MPS software operation, pneumatic tools, and calibration tasks. You will join a team that values precision and continuous improvement, with daily safety and production meetings.
What You'll Do7
- 1Perform initial acceptance testing of meters using specialized work instructions and proving machinery.
- 2Assemble base meters to communication modules using manual and pneumatic tools.
- 3Program communication modules to customer specifications and validate meter data files with standard software.
- 4Operate MPS software to verify correct assembly of meters and modules.
- 5Conduct visual inspections per standard documentation and report quality concerns to your supervisor.
- 6Own local tooling care and calibration, maintaining tools to 5S standards.
- 7Attend daily production and safety meetings, participate in training, and keep workspace organized.
Requirements6
- 11+ year prior production associate experience in a related field.
- 2Ability to use MPS or basic Windows applications effectively.
- 3Strong reading and reasoning skills to interpret quality codes and work instructions.
- 4Excellent communication skills for independent and team work.
- 5Ability to stand for long periods and lift 25-50 pounds overhead.
- 6Open to working overtime and weekends as needed.
