Maintenance Worker, Industrial Equipment & Safety at a Premier Manufacturer
Overview
Own preventive maintenance and repair for industrial production equipment at a leading manufacturing site. You’ll ensure reliability and safety across machinery, piping, drives, and facility systems with a focus on reducing downtime. You’ll collaborate with engineering to install new equipment and document activities in maintenance software. This role offers hands-on work with advanced equipment in a safety‑driven environment, plus opportunities for growth in continuous improvement.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on industrial production equipment to improve reliability
- 2Repair and lubricate machinery including pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components to minimize unplanned downtime
- 3Complete preventative maintenance for fire safety, emergency lighting, eyewash stations, and facility equipment
- 4Assist in installation of new equipment and processes with the engineering team to support capacity and efficiency
- 5Document maintenance tasks, repairs, and spare parts in maintenance software and manage inventory
- 6Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance to keep operations running
- 7Operate machine tools to fabricate or repair simple parts and support maintenance needs
- 8Safely use ladders, scissor lifts, and forklifts while following all safety practices
- 9Communicate status and coordinate work with other departments to minimize production disruptions
- 10Maintain basic electrical, welding, and carpentry readiness to support repair activities
Requirements10
- 1Have at least 5+ years of mechanical experience with industrial equipment
- 2Hold mechanical or machining trade/vocational education and/or facilities/industrial maintenance experience
- 3Ability to operate machine shop equipment such as Bridgeport, lathe, or similar
- 4Basic knowledge of large HP mechanical drive systems, pumps, valves, and piping
- 5Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- 6Strong computer literacy and documentation skills
- 7Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift/move up to 100 pounds
- 8Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- 9Electrical experience in an industrial setting a plus
- 10Welding and carpentry skills preferred
