Overview

Own maintenance for machinery, structures, and utility systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will inspect, repair, and install equipment at scale across multiple sites and may supervise outside service providers. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, safety, and adherence to blueprints and specifications. You will work onsite with a collaborative team to keep operations running smoothly and address issues promptly to minimize downtime.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and repair machinery and equipment following blueprints and specifications
  • 2Test electrical and electronic systems, listen for abnormal sounds, and diagnose issues with supervisors
  • 3Dismantle, replace parts, and calibrate using precision tools and measuring devices
  • 4Clean and lubricate components such as shafts, bearings, gears, and other moving parts
  • 5Repair and maintain the physical structure of facilities and fabricate or repair wooden components
  • 6May operate cutting torch or welding equipment to join metal parts
  • 7May fabricate counters, benches, partitions, and other structures
  • 8Assess procedures and prepare improvement recommendations
  • 9Maintain and ensure safety and compliance in all maintenance activities
  • 10Conduct preventative maintenance to extend equipment life

Requirements7

  • 1High school diploma
  • 2Relevant licenses or certificates may be required
  • 3Courses in mechanical drawing, woodworking, electricity, and blueprint reading would be advantageous
  • 4Repair work experience
  • 5Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
  • 6Strong physical strength and hand-eye coordination
  • 7Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
