Maintenance Technician, Multifamily & On-Site Support
Overview
Own preventative maintenance and repairs for residential units and common areas at Pointe at Northern Woods, supporting safe, efficient property operations across building systems. Collaborate with a service team to respond to requests, perform inspections, and uphold life-safety and company standards. This role offers hands-on maintenance experience with room to grow technical skills.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and complete routine maintenance work orders for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances to maintain occupancy readiness
- 2Repair unit systems and common areas ensuring minimal downtime and high resident satisfaction
- 3Assist with unit turns including inspections, repairs, and occupancy readiness
- 4Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in on-call rotations
- 5Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and services
- 6Identify, document, and report safety concerns and potential system failures
- 7Document completed work and inspection findings in the maintenance management system
- 8Complete PM tasks according to established schedules and procedures
- 9Collaborate with team members and property staff to maintain organized tools and work areas
- 10Provide courteous and professional service to residents and staff
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 21–3 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- 3Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- 4Trade School Certification a plus
- 5Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- 6Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- 7Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- 8Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- 9Ability to climb ladders, access mechanical spaces, and work in varying weather conditions
- 10Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as required
