Maintenance Technician, Multifamily (Floating)
Overview
You will own the upkeep and readiness of multifamily units across multiple Portland properties, ensuring quality move-ins and resident satisfaction. You'll report to the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate with a team that values expedited service and personal attention. This floating role requires travel between properties and on-call response to after-hour emergencies. With 1+ years of experience and EPA 608 certification, you'll deliver superior service and maintain safety standards.
What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare make-ready apartments by painting, repairing carpets, and performing general repairs to ensure quality move-ins.
- 2Respond to resident service requests with a professional attitude and timely execution.
- 3Diagnose and fix plumbing, HVAC, and basic electrical issues across units and common areas.
- 4Maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, and dog park amenities to keep them clean, operational, and safe.
- 5Perform scheduled maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- 6Report maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- 7Adhere to state, local, and federal fair housing laws during all maintenance activities.
- 8Attend and participate in training programs required by Cushman & Wakefield.
- 9Safeguard all company tools and equipment and follow safety procedures.
- 10Take on-call shifts to handle after-hour emergencies and ensure resident safety.
Requirements9
- 11+ years of related maintenance experience in multifamily or similar settings.
- 2Valid driver's license and EPA 608 certification (minimum Type II) and CPO or local city required certificate.
- 3Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, and operating instructions.
- 4Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, and general carpentry.
- 5Skill in computing rates, ratios, and percentages and interpreting bar graphs.
- 6Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds.
- 7Willingness to travel between properties and work in varying weather conditions.
- 8Flexibility to stand, walk, ascend staircases and ladders, and remain stationary for extended periods.
- 9High school diploma or GED from a trade, technical, or vocational school.
