Maintenance Technician, Luxury Apartment Community
Overview
As a Maintenance Technician at Optima, you will own the upkeep of a luxury apartment community in Phoenix, handling everything from unit turns to on-call emergency repairs. You will work directly for the developer, not a third-party contractor, with the team that builds and manages the property. What You'll Do8
- 1Complete apartment home make-readies and turns, including painting, replacing faucets, blinds, and smoke detectors, and repairing locks and disposal units.
- 2Turn over vacant units in preparation for new residents, ensuring every detail meets our standards.
- 3Perform general upkeep of the property and grounds, including amenity areas and common spaces.
- 4Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance with the team to keep the property in top condition.
- 5Handle general carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs as needed.
- 6Record and maintain files, including work order notes, daily logs, and on-call sheets.
- 7Serve on the on-call team, rotating after-hours availability to respond to urgent resident needs.
- 8Complete resident work order requests promptly and courteously.
Requirements9
- 11+ year of maintenance experience, with thorough knowledge of preparing units for move-ins and general repair skills.
- 2General maintenance knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, and appliance repair.
- 3Outgoing and positive attitude with exceptional customer service skills.
- 4Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to work independently and multi-task.
- 5Reliable and responsive with a strong work ethic.
- 6Possession of a current and valid driver's license.
- 7Physical capacity to lift 100 lbs., including lifting and moving packages.
- 8Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- 9High school diploma or equivalent.
