Property Maintenance Technician, Apartment Communities
Overview
Own maintenance and repair operations across San Diego apartment communities, ensuring units and exteriors stay rent-ready. You will troubleshoot and fix systems from plumbing to electrical and prepare vacant apartments for new tenants. Work independently on a full-time team with full benefits. What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements.
- 2Fix electrical problems such as outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- 3Perform drywall patching, carpentry repairs, and framing adjustments.
- 4Paint interiors and exteriors, including stucco and woodwork touch-ups.
- 5Complete gas line checks and repairs to meet safety standards.
- 6Prepare vacant apartments to 'make ready' status within 72 hours.
- 7Inspect exterior structures and address stucco and woodwork damage.
- 8Prioritize work orders and manage time independently to meet deadlines.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of maintenance experience in residential properties.
- 2Proven troubleshooting ability for plumbing, electrical, and gas systems.
- 3Hands-on skills in drywall, carpentry, and painting.
- 4Knowledge of stucco repair and exterior woodwork.
- 5Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 7Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for long shifts.
- 8High school diploma or equivalent.
