Maintenance Technician, Property Management
Overview
You will own the maintenance and appearance of Park Residences Plano, a multifamily property in Dallas, Texas. You will handle everything from HVAC PMs to drywall repairs as part of a 2+ person team, and you will directly impact resident satisfaction and safety. What You'll Do10
- 1Patrol the property daily to spot and fix issues like HVAC PMs, filter changes, and minor electrical repairs.
- 2Replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, and LED drivers as part of electrical upkeep.
- 3Run weekly emergency generator tests to ensure readiness.
- 4Repair plumbing fixtures, clear sink and toilet clogs, and install new fittings.
- 5Patch drywall, fix doors and screens, and handle caulking and painting jobs.
- 6Assist with apartment turns, repairing or replacing appliances and water heaters.
- 7Maintain pool equipment such as pumps, feeders, and gauges, and help with seasonal grounds tasks.
- 8Respond to work orders in a timely manner and keep an organized inventory of repair parts and supplies.
- 9Take after-hours and weekend emergency calls as needed, arriving within 30 minutes.
- 10Show up for all assigned projects and activities with a proactive mindset.
Requirements10
- 12+ years of building maintenance experience, with a high school diploma or GED.
- 2Vocational training or certification in relevant fields like HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus.
- 3Skill in plumbing repairs: fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
- 4Competence in electrical work such as outlets, switches, light fixtures, and circuit breakers.
- 5Knowledge of HVAC systems for routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- 6Carpentry ability for doors, cabinets, and flooring tasks.
- 7Safe use of hand and power tools.
- 8Familiarity with appliance repair and maintenance.
- 9Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for emergency call-ins.
- 10EPA certification preferred.
