Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance & Packaging Equipment
Overview
The Maintenance Technician owns preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment at scale, reducing downtime and ensuring reliability. You will work with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems, complete CMMS records, and support installations and changeovers. This role operates under OSHA, LOTO, GMP, FDA, tobacco manufacturing, and 5S principles within a fast-moving facility. You’ll join a team focused on reliability improvements and rapid troubleshooting to maximize production uptime.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime on packaging lines
- 2Repair mechanical components such as bearings, belts, gearboxes, and drive components and align motors and conveyors
- 3Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems and read drawings and schematics
- 4Respond to production breakdowns, support changeovers, and startups, and complete scheduled PMs with accurate CMMS records
- 5Identify root causes and implement reliability improvements following safety and quality requirements
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or GED required
- 2Technical school or Industrial Maintenance certification preferred
- 33-5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- 4Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills including conveyor repair and use of precision measuring tools
- 5Basic electrical troubleshooting experience with 24VDC, 120VAC, and 480VAC; basic PLC knowledge preferred
- 6CMMS experience required
- 7Valid forklift certification/license or ability to obtain through training
- 8Experience with high-speed packaging equipment, servo-driven machinery, VFDs, pneumatic controls, and machine guarding preferred
