Maintenance Technician, Beverage Packaging & PLC Systems
Overview
The role owns preventative and corrective maintenance on beverage packaging line equipment at scale, focusing on troubleshooting and root cause analysis. You will work with electrical, mechanical, and PLC tasks to keep lines safe and productive. The team includes experienced technicians and junior candidates who are eager to learn and grow. This position offers hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment with a strong safety and quality emphasis.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and repair maintenance tasks on automated case packers, palletizers, labelers, hot fill, and blow mold machines to minimize downtime
- 2Perform root cause analysis on equipment issues and implement preventative maintenance strategies for reliability
- 3Carry out scheduled maintenance on beverage packaging lines and ensure all PM tasks are completed on time
- 4Operate beverage processing and packaging equipment including blow molds, filling, pasteurizers, labeling, and conveyors to support continuous production
- 5Document work orders and parts used in the maintenance management system to keep records accurate
- 6Adhere to safety procedures and comply with LOTO, PPE, machine guarding, and hot work requirements
- 7Maintain GMPs SQF HACCP and general workplace safety standards in daily tasks
- 8Keep accurate, legible maintenance documentation and reports for all activities
- 9Participate in ongoing safety and equipment operation training to improve skills and knowledge
- 10Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maintain line efficiency
Requirements10
- 1Hands-on experience with electrical systems up to 480 V and working around high voltage safely
- 2Ability to work on three-phase and single-phase motors including installation troubleshooting and repair
- 3Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical issues on production lines
- 4Experience performing preventative maintenance on automated packaging and processing equipment
- 5Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical documentation
- 6Knowledge of pneumatics and ability to troubleshoot pneumatic components
- 7Familiarity with PLCs and interaction with control systems during troubleshooting
- 8Experience with beverage processing and packaging equipment such as blow molds filling pasteurizers labeling film wrappers palletizers depalletizers conveyors
- 9Ability to use a maintenance management system to document work orders parts usage and maintenance history
- 10Understanding of GMPs SQF HACCP and safety standards and willingness to work shifts and weekends
